Buzzy Papo is a Sierra Leonean Hip-Hop, Afrobeats, and Dancehall artist whose journey in music began with street rap battles and school competitions. Born and raised in Sierra Leone, he developed a passion for music early on, honing his craft through freestyle battles and collaborations.

His career officially took off in 2013 when he co-founded Rotifunk Brotherhood (RBH) and gained national recognition with the hit song Beautiful, a collaboration with Rap G. The track dominated airwaves across Freetown, leading to performances at major events.

In 2019, Buzzy Papo relocated to The Gambia to further his career, where he released hits like Superstar Love and Party Na Ya (feat. Supafire). His success earned him a deal with MJ Records (2020), which propelled him onto Gambia’s biggest stages, sharing performances with artists like ST Gambia Dream and Hussain Dada. After parting ways with the label, he joined the Swiss Gambia Association (SGA) and redefined his sound.

In 2023, Buzzy Papo started working closely with the Swiss label Don Trotti Records. With this new partnership, he significantly improved his craft, benefiting from a professional mentor and a strong support system both in music and behind the scenes. This collaboration provided him with the structure and guidance needed to elevate his career to the next level.

That same year, he released his debut EP, "Bando", featuring Motijugor (feat. Rahim Kaba), followed by the single Jejeh. His journey continued in Mbour, Senegal, where he focused on expanding his reach.

In June 2024, Buzzy Papo released Days & Nights, a track that had a great impact on his career. The song not only showcased his artistic growth but also reflected his true vision of music, blending deep lyrical storytelling with infectious rhythms.

Now in 2025, Buzzy Papo is actively working on a new EP, which includes several tracks already released this year. This upcoming project marks another milestone in his evolution as an artist, further refining his unique blend of Hip-Hop, Afrobeats, and Dancehall.

Beyond music, Buzzy Papo is also pursuing Electrical Engineering at AFTEC Freetown, balancing his academic journey with his musical ambitions. With upcoming projects like Cheater and Life Chain, he remains a force to watch in the West African music scene, bringing his unique blend of sounds and storytelling to the world.
